Katie Blackley

Counselor Intern

Note:  Katie has graduated, is processing licensure, and will be joining us as a full-time clinician in July or August of 2024.  Congratulations, Katie!

I am a student currently working towards getting my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winthrop University. I got my Bachelors degree in Sociology and Gender Studies from the University of South Carolina. I am passionate about helping people better understand and empathize with their own story and sense of self, which is what has brought me to counseling. My primary focuses are on identity issues, self-worth, relationship problems, adjustment periods, and anxiety. I want to work with each client to understand the ways that their unique experiences, beliefs, values, and identities have led them to where they are and incorporate that into our sessions to create a path forward which works best for the individual.
