Patricia Lonadier

LPC, MACC, NCC

I am passionate about meeting people in tough places. I believe we all want to have a good and meaningful life, but we face barriers of various kinds that often hold us back from the best life has to offer. My passions and professional experiences surround identity and self-worth, foster care and adoption, trauma/abuse, disruptive and oppositional behavior, problem sexual behavior, managing anger, families affected by domestic violence, and anxiety. I believe any barrier you are currently facing doesn't have to stay that way. I am passionate about helping individuals, teenagers, and families find the peace and wholeness they deserve. I look forward to continue growing as a professional and consider it sacred to be trusted with the details, sorrows, and joys of my client's lives.

I was drawn to counseling because I have always loved people and their stories. In college, I studied Christian Ministry and Psychology at Regent University, graduating in 2013. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2017. Although I am seminary trained, I am open and happy to see clients from any worldview and will not impose my own views on your sessions. Additionally, if faith is important to your life and experience, I am happy to incorporate this into your healing.

My approach to therapy is primarily centered on you, the client. The top priority is safety and connection to create the atmosphere for growth. I primarily use cognitive-based approaches (DBT, TF-CBT, CBT) to assist in helping my clients identify negative patterns, gain new skills for healthy living and emotions, and begin to feel in control of their actions. I am trained and rostered to administer Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, a treatment for children and adolescents who are experiencing trauma-related symptoms. I have also attended trainings related to attachment, parenting, foster-care and adoption, disruptive behaviors, problem sexual behavior, and personality disorders.

I work with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individual adults. I am always willing to talk prior to scheduling a first session to ensure I can be a good fit for your needs.
