I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in the state of South Carolina as well as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in the state of North Carolina since 2013.

I hold two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Miami University (Ohio) in Comparative Religion and Spanish. After serving in campus ministry for two years stateside and overseas, I pursued my Masters of Divinity and my Master of Arts in Christian Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, completing the MACC in 2012. In addition to my education and training as a counselor, I also completed a year-long residency in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and served as a hospital chaplain at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I also have experience teaching in elementary and high school education and sports coaching as well as in the non-profit sector as a bilingual counselor and summer camp director, serving those affected by domestic violence, sexual trauma, and human trafficking.

Believing people are complex beings created to be “whole” and capable of growth and change, I believe in incorporating a holistic approach to come alongside clients and partner with them to pursue healing and wholeness. I enjoy working with all ages, individuals, families, and groups through therapy, briefing/debriefing related to overseas ministry/travel, camps, and retreats.

In therapy, I utilize a person-centered approach with cognitive based therapies (CBT and TF-CBT), elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and skills-based approaches, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), incorporating faith and belief systems, and I’m also trained in EMDR.
